Join us for a high-energy charity Purim Pickleball Tournament bringing the community together to support Friends of JNF Canada’s Young Leaders for Israel division. Whether you’re a seasoned player or just in it for the vibes, every rally helps make a difference. We encourage all participants to dress up for Purim.

About the Tournament:
There will be two divisions you can pick to play in. 
Division 1 will be a novice group playing from 3:30 pm-5:00 pm. Division 2 will be intermediate/advanced playing from 6:30-8:00 pm. Division 1 will stay after the tournament for dinner, and division 2 will arrive at 5:30 pm for registration, dinner, and schmoozing before your game time at 6:30 pm.

Tournament Rules: 
1) Regular scoring/serving (not rally scoring). 
2) First to 11 (no win by 2). If the game goes beyond 17 minutes and all the other teams are done, then will switch to Rally scoring so the game finishes quicker. 
3) 6 matches will be played (1 against each team) with one round being a "bye", assuming we have 7 teams registered. 
4) Scoring will be as follows: 
Winning team gets 1 point for each point they won, less 0.5 points for each point their opponent wins which the opponent gets. For example, if you win 11-4, you get 9 points (11 - (4 x 0.5) and your opponent gets 2 points (4 x 0.5). 
Winning team will also get an additional 3 points. So the final score in this example would be 12 for the winning team and 2 for the losing team. This way, every point matters! 
5) Tiebreaker for teams tied at the end will be head-to-head. 
6) Team on the entrance side (EAST) of the court will serve first. 
7) If a ball rolls onto your court during play, stop and replay.  

Pricing: 
Young Leaders for Israel (under 40): $150  
Ages 41 and over: $175 
Players will receive a tax receipt for the maximum amount allowable according to CRA guidelines.
