A unique home for children with severe disabilities On June 16, 2025, an Iranian missile struck the B'nei Brak Center for children with severe disabilities. In seconds, Israel’s most advanced rehabilitative facility - where over 650 children and families found specialized care, safety, and dignity - was destroyed.
The B'nei Brak Center is a place where children and adults with complex disabilities receive personalized care every day, with unparalleled professionalism and innovation. It is one of the only centres in the region that can provide this specialized care for some of Israel’s most severely disabled children and young adults. Now these families have nowhere else to turn. Some children are even receiving treatment in the parking lot.
“It was the only place where our daughter felt safe. I stand here and everything is destroyed... Every day without therapy is a loss. Where do I take her now?’’ - Shulamit, a special needs parent
How your gift will help Friends of JNF Canada has committed to help rebuild what has been destroyed. Much of the centre has been reduced to rubble and almost all aspects require rebuilding or repair. While the centre determines which areas of rebuilding are a priority - whether it’s the music therapy room, to multi-sensory clinic, to general rehabilitation rooms – much is needed. Friends of JNF Canada is in regular communication with the centre to find giving opportunities where they are needed most.
This campus is a beacon of hope, and giving back dignity and care to Israel’s most vulnerable children is a priority. Your gift will help rebuild lives - and prove that Israel’s spirit of resilience is stronger than any missile.
