Dahlia Lithwick is an MSNBC analyst, senior legal correspondent at Slate, and one of North America’s most respected legal commentators. Originally from Ottawa, where she attended Hillel Academy, Lithwick has spent more than two decades making the complexities of the American legal system, the Supreme Court, and constitutional law accessible to a wide audience.
She is the host of Amicus, Slate’s award-winning weekly podcast about the law and the Supreme Court, and the author of the instant New York Times bestseller Lady Justice: Women, the Law, and the Battle to Save America. The book tells the powerful story of women lawyers who fought to defend the rule of law, civil rights, and democratic institutions during Donald Trump’s first presidential term, and received national critical acclaim.
Lithwick’s work has appeared in The New York Times, The New Yorker, The Washington Post, Harper’s, and other leading publications. She has received numerous honours, including a National Magazine Award, multiple Online Journalism Awards, the Hillman Prize for Opinion and Analysis, a Gracie Award, and recognition from the Women’s Media Center.
